Our Values

Health At Every Size

Accessibility

Trauma Informed Care

We strive to provide access to the best quality mental healthcare to historically underserved communities. Those with marginalized identities and/or financial need are welcome to fill out a sliding scale fee application, subject to approval.

We embrace diverse sexualities and relationship structures, and facilitate honest conversations that support sexual expression & exploration, grounded in safety and research science.

Providers are trained in trauma-informed care and understand the direct impacts of trauma on nervous systems and relationships.

Cultural-Humility

We acknowledge the very real impacts of racism, sexism, transphobia, homophobia, ableism, fatphobia, and xenophobia on your relationship and lives.

Kink, Ace, & ENM Affirming

Community Action

We acknowledge that bodies exist naturally in all sizes and shapes, and that what a body looks like does not determine health. We acknowledge and work to oppose weight stigma in healthcare.

KPS strives to be involved in community action through organizing, attending protests/rallies, donating money, and creating community based programming and supports.

Therapeutic Orientation

KPS utilizes an eclectic approach to therapy, taking evidence-based approaches from a variety of modalities and curating specialized, individualistic treatment plans designed to meet your specific needs.

Polyvagal & DBT-informed therapy blends physiological regulation with skill-building to manage intense emotional reactions and improve conflict. By learning to recognize when a partner's nervous system enters a "fight, flight, or freeze" state, partners will gain tools for emotional regulation and clear communication, allowing them to co-regulate and build safety.

Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) helps identify underlying, unexpressed emotions that drive painful, repetitive conflict cycles. By learning to express these core vulnerable feelings instead of reacting with anger or withdrawal, partners can safely rebuild trust, transform negative patterns, and cultivate a deeper, more secure emotional bond.

The Gottman Method helps identify specific communication patterns and strengthen the practical, daily foundation of your relationship. By focusing on actionable skills like managing conflict constructively, increasing gratitude, and building shared meaning, couples learn to avoid defensive reactions and increase affection and trust.

Attachment-Based Therapy involves recognizing how early bonding experiences shape adult relationship patterns, security, and triggers. By understanding attachment styles, partners learn to navigate fear and distance, increase empathy, and transform conflict into opportunity for emotional safety and closeness.

The Relational Rewind Method TM

KPS is launching the use of a new therapeutic technique. The Relational Rewind Method TM uses Video-Assisted Relational Reflection (VARR) TM techniques to provide real-time feedback, increase skill building, and provide practical communication improvements.

Increase Skill Building

Mastering relationship skills takes practice, not just talk. We can use video playback as an opportunity to practice actively replacing defensive habits with proven communication techniques, allowing you to build real-world confidence and emotional regulation in real time.

Decrease Bias

Memory recall after conflict is often skewed by stress, heightened feelings, and self-perception. Reviewing objective video footage removes the "she-said, she-said" dynamic, providing a neutral mirror that allows partners to see the interaction clearly when regulated, acknowledge each other's reality, and build shared understanding.

Real-Time Feedback

Stop arguing about where communication went wrong. By reviewing actual recorded interactions together, we can pause, rewind, and pinpoint triggers, tone shifts, and nonverbal cues as they happen, using this data to gain insight and agree on improvement steps.

Beyond the Therapy Room

Hi, I’m Dr. Rogers (she/they).

I founded Kaleidoscope Psychological Services (KPS) out of a deeply held belief that therapy shouldn't exist in a bubble. Healing doesn't happen in isolation, it is tied to our communities, identities, and the world we inhabit.

As a queer psychologist, my work is rooted in pride, advocacy, and cultural humility. I created KPS to be a space where you never have to shrink, translate, or justify who you are. Beyond the therapy room, I’m passionate about expanding access to high-quality care for historically underserved communities, participating in local community action, and living with intentional care for our planet.

Outside of the therapy room you'll find me tending my indoor plants, walking my pup, trying new restaurants, working on an art project, thrift shopping, baking, attempting to win at family game night, camping, reading, or spending time with my family and friends.
